What Is Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)? 

DMI is a specific, therapeutic technique used to treat children with developmental/motor delays. DMI utilizes specific exercises selected by the therapist to elicit automatic postural responses and progress motor skills. DMI Focuses on 9 Tenets of Practice Including: 

Gross Motor Skills 

Gradual Progression 

Alignment and Postural Control 

Range of Motion 

Balance 

Functional Movements 

Somatosensory Development

Modifying Tone, Primitive Reflexes and Abnormal Patterns of Movement 

Global Development
